'Star of the East' to shine on ifilm

ifilm English TV has to air new movie 'Star of the East' on Saturday night.

The movie, produced by Ali Ladoni and directed by Ali Ghaffari, reviews the story of a devotee of the Ahl al-Bayt.

Fazl, the son of Shazan Neishabouri, was among one of the devotees of the Ahl al-Bayt during the 7th century Hijri who lived in Neishabour.

A great religious scholar and one of the most well-respected men of his time, he did not fear to speak out against the social injustice of his time.

His outspoken sermons and open criticism of the caliphate were reasons for agents of the caliph to conspire against him and plot and scheme to portray him as a deceitful man who wanted to create doubts and suspicions in the religion he devoutly followed.

The movie cast list includes Anoushiravan Arjmand, Mahmoud Pakniyyat, Kaveh Khoda-Shenas, Gholam-Reza Beyzanmanesh, Mashallah Shah-Moradizadeh, Giti Qasemi, Samira Hosseini, Azadeh Riazi, Afshin Nakhaee, and Mohammad Rabbani.

'Star of the East', made in 2016, is scheduled to go on air at 22:00 GMT.

ifilm English will also repeat the movie the next day at 04:00, 10:00 and 16:00 (all GMT times).
